Find a Sponsor Organization
Your FTC team needs a sponsoring school, club, community group, or nonprofit to register and compete.
Your team needs sponsors to compete because robotics costs money — parts, field rental, travel, and event fees add up fast. A fiscal sponsor or nonprofit partner helps your team operate like a nonprofit and accept donations.
Why sponsors matter
- Enable fundraising and donation support through nonprofit channels
- Provide official fiscal sponsorship and financial oversight
- Offer access to grants, equipment, and community resources
- Help your team qualify for school, club, or nonprofit programs
Action: Talk to a school administrator, club leader, or nonprofit coordinator about sponsoring your team, or consider a fiscal sponsor that can make your team nonprofit-friendly.
Also plan for parent fundraising, community drives, and local support if you are starting without a school sponsor.
